MEET THE TEAM
Lacey was born and raised in the lakes area of Minnesota until she married Jason. They moved to Thief River Falls 17+ years ago. They have 2 children, 1 dog and 2 cats. Family life is very important to her. She finds joy in providing a warm home full of life and good food for her family and anyone who stops by. Music, dance, and the arts have always been a big part of Lacey’s life as well.
As a child she would watch old musicals over and over just to learn the dances. When she was a young teen she found the theatre and never looked back. Lacey has been performing on the stage for 25 years. While participating in theatre productions, she had the chance to study under some incredible drama coaches and choreographers. Lacey has had the opportunity to choreograph multiple musicals and direct as well. She also taught dance for 2 years at a local dance studio. Lacey loves to teach, especially the little ones. Her favorite styles of dance are jazz and contemporary. Dance is an expression and she loves to help everyone learn how to express themselves through it! “Dance is a language everyone can speak.” - Miss Lacey
Saphire was born October 28th, 1996. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two Great Danes and a cat whom she loves. Saphire and her husband enjoy making music together, flipping and designing homes, and spending their down time traveling. They have a passion for being entrepreneurs, and have run their own business since they were 17 years old.
Saphire began her love for dance when she first learned to walk. She began taking dance at 3 years old in her hometown of Becker, MN. Saphire quickly fell in love with ballet, tap, and lyrical while dancing in competitions. She is known for being able to show her emotions on stage and being able to give a piece of herself to her audience. Saphire began her own dance classes when she moved
up north to Northome, MN and later became a part of a dance studio in Thief River Falls. She also had the opportunity to teach classes while in Nashville, Tennessee at a local studio. Saphire specializes in teaching Technique, Lyrical and Tap. Her main goal for her dancers is to not only be the best dancers they can be, but also inspire others along the way. Her future goals include extensive training to evolve her teaching skills and give more to her students. Saphire can’t wait to take this first year of dance on as an owner and director!
Jason was born and raised in a very small town in North Dakota. He and Lacey have been married since 2001 and have 2 children. His faith and family are priorities in his life. He also enjoys hunting, golfing, and training bird dogs.
His handy-man and do-it-yourself skills have been utilized by the studio and he enjoys spending time with all the kids. His day job is at Digi-Key Electronics as a Supplier Business Development Director and this requires him to travel fairly often. The arts - especially dance - were not understood or appreciated until he met Lacey. He now sees how dance can change peoples' lives for the better and enjoys being a part of our dance studio.
